As creatures of habit we tend to stick what we know but is this limiting us from discovering something better?

Most new treatments tend to start off finding their way with anecdotal evidence before research proves the efficacy.  Bowen Therapy is no different.  It has built a worldwide strong following of hundreds of thousands of people.   70 years after its inception  the result of a gold standard Single Blind Randomised Clinical Trial (RCT) has now proved the efficacy of Bowen Therapy.

  • Named after Tom Bowen, it originated in Australia,  It's been practised in the UK since 1993.

  • Tom Bowen was treating up to 13,000 people a year.  He died in 1982

  • The Icelandic athletes had a Bowen Therapist in their medical team at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

  • Since 2013 the full body fascia-release treatment has being applied by over 500 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the western hospitals of Hong Kong.

  • 2 NHS pain management clinics in the North of England using Bowen Therapy.

  • Bowen Therapy has been improving athletes performances for 20 years+ ( see Caroline!)

  • Bear Grylls put his full recovery from breaking his back down to having Bowen Therapy
